Breath Alcohol Technicians and Drug Screen Professionals Gain Certification

Eight Murphy Group Practice, Urgent Care Center Employees Receive B.A.T. Training and Certification

Eight employees of Murphy Group Practice, Urgent Care Center were granted certification as Breath Alcohol Technicians (B.A.T.) and professional collectors for DOT and non-DOT screening. Janet Shively, clinical coordinator for Murphy Group Practice, said, "We want to expand our services to meet the needs of this region. These services are available to any DOT facility or employers who need breath alcohol testing and drug screening for their employees."

Fourteen hours of self-study, twelve hours of class time, and end of course testing were successfully completed prior to the January 14th certifications. The classes were conducted by AlcoPro, located in Knoxville, TN.
